Application Support Analyst

This role is due to continued growth of their business and have an opportunity for a passionate technician to provide support and testing services as part of the larger development team. The role will suit a junior technician who is looking to take ownership and responsibility for a key area within a team. The organisation is also adopting automation moving forward and therefore the role will offer you the opportunity to have input into the tools and technology platforms the business uses in the future.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
As an Application Support Analyst your role will be split across three key areas, IT Support (40%), Application Testing (50%) and Data analysis (10%). You will be responsible for providing 1st and 2nd line support as well as testing the latest release of the software solutions.
You will also work across the technology team to provide high quality insight into various data sources to help the running, integration and evolution of the software systems.
"At least 6 months commercial experience in a related IT support or testing role
"Knowledge of software testing and ideally test plan creation
"The ability to diagnose problems in complex software solutions
"Attention to detail with the ability to manage your own workload and prioritise activities
"Excellent communication skills
"Excellent Microsoft Office skills
"Database querying skills (esp. SQL Server)
"Knowledge of automated testing products, tools and scripts (e.g. Selenium, Ranorex)
"A degree or HND in computing, business or related numerate subject
"Software development skills (reading code)
"Experience in web application testing
"Knowledge of SAP
